How to Update Products

Guide for updating your MetaTrader indicators and expert advisors to the latest versions

Update Process

  1. Close MetaTrader

    Make sure to close all instances of your MetaTrader platform before updating.

  2. Backup Current Version

    Create a backup copy of your current indicator or expert advisor files before updating.

  3. Download New Version

    Download the latest version from your account or the email notification you received.

  4. Replace Files

    - Remove the old version files from your MetaTrader directory
    - Copy the new version files to the appropriate folder
    - Make sure to preserve any custom settings files if they exist

  5. Restart and Verify

    Start MetaTrader and verify that the new version is working correctly.

Important Notes:

  • Always read the changelog or update notes before updating
  • Keep your backup until you've verified the new version works properly
  • Some updates may require reconfiguring your settings
  • Contact support if you experience any issues during the update process
